The kit includes the wood needed to build the chair as well as hardware. The only needed tool is a power drill to put the whole chair together.
The oak staves come cut to size, sanded, cleaned and ready to be assembled. We do provide instructions as well as a link to easily assemble your chairs.
The oak staves that you will receive come from used, French oak wine barrels. Each stave is unique and will include character markings from the wine and metal hoops used to hold the barrels together. By further sanding the staves, you can easily control the amount of metal hoop markings and/or the wine staining.
When the chairs are built, they are roughly 36 in tall by 35 in long and 29 in wide.
*Chair kits will include 5-6 staves for the back and between 5 and 8 staves for the seat. This range is due to the variety of sizes and available staves that come from the barrel. Please let us know if you have a preference and we will do our best to fulfill it.
